UPDATE ON THESIS AND BURSARY GRANTS
I come to you once again to, first of all, thank you for your continued patience and support in myself and my executives thus far.
I will like to gladly extend my sincere appreciation to Mr. Eugene Tony Paha, Mr Rock Ashley, Mr George Sarfo, Mr Kwame Twumasi Gyamfi, Mr Godwin Kusi Danquah, Mr Dickson Sema, Mr Fredrick Woodland, Mr Thomas Martin Ntem , Mr Baba Atubiga and Mr Prince Hamza ; the GRASAG Presidents of the 10 bursary receiving institutions.
Today the 15th of April, 2019 the 2017/18 thesis and bursary grant disbursement was brought to a temporary end. As at today, all qualified students who successfully registered have been paid. With the exception of students who made changes to their GN bank accounts.
All students who have any queries or challenges should kindly forward them through their local Secretariats.
Indeed the introduction of the electronic application for the 2017/18 came with its own challenges but just like any new system, we have learned from our mistakes and we continue to build a better system. Two main challenges were faced in the 2017/18 process is the issue of verification and late application.
In view of this, all students who do not qualify will not have access to the application portal. The system has been preloaded with details of students who qualify as forwarded to the national secretariat by the various Deans of Graduate Studies.
Also, we will proceed to open the application for the schools whose lists are ready at exactly 12:00 pm on 16/04/19 to enable ample time for the data processing and reduce the delay in payment.
The schools include UHAS, UPSA, UCC, and KNUST.
I take this opportunity to hopefully be the first to wish you a happy Easter. May we remember Christ’s death not just as a holiday but as an opportunity to renew our commitment to him.
May the good Lord bless us and keep us all.
